Cultivating Calm: A Polyvagal-Informed Approach to Nervous System Regulation

With Brittany Petty and Anne Kulakowski

Release Westborough

Saturday, November 7th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Cultivating Calm

We spend a lot of time trying to think our way out of stress. This evening offers something different, a chance to understand and work with your nervous system rather than against it.

Guided by somatic psychotherapists Brittany Petty and Anne Kulakowski, Cultivating Calm pairs approachable, polyvagal-informed education with practices you’ll feel in real time. You’ll learn how your body responds to stress, challenge, and connection, begin to recognize your own patterns of activation, overwhelm, and shutdown, and explore why co-regulation and relationship matter so much to how we feel day to day.

The evening includes:

Interactive discussion and nervous system education
Guided inquiry and partner reflection
Breathwork, including extended exhale and alternate nostril breathing
iRest® Yoga Nidra
Orienting and eye-gaze practices, self-soothing touch, and gentle somatic movement

Everything is accessible, no yoga or meditation experience required. Come dressed comfortably and bring a swimsuit for Bliss afterward.

Following the workshop, enjoy Bliss access, included with your registration.

Schedule:

1:00 – 2:30 PM: Cultivating calm workshop

2:30 – 4:00 PM: Full Bliss access
