Brenda Walkey, M.D.
Brenda is a physician boarded in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Following residency, she chose primary care as her career path due to her desire to care for the whole person in an ongoing way. A yearning to better understand how and why people make decisions led her to pursue coursework in Lifestyle Medicine, a medical approach that uses evidence-based behavioral interventions to prevent, treat and manage chronic disease. Realizing that health is not a one-size fits all modality has empowered her to meet individuals where they are on their journey and guide them along their self-identified paths. She has taken steps on her own health path in areas of movement, mindfulness, nutrition and more. Brenda’s goal is to make the scientific evidence on wellness accessible and adaptable to all who long for better health.
Brenda’s current hobbies include trying new plant-based recipes, playing pickleball, knitting socks, and hosting karaoke parties.
