Jenn Cadenhead
Jenn grew up as a competitive swimmer in Southern California, where she first began teaching and coaching at the age of 16. Jenn’s love for health and fitness led her towards physical therapy and anatomy studies where she discovered Pilates. Jenn was certified in both traditional mat and apparatus Pilates in 2001 and taught for many years locally. Soon, after moving to New York, she began yoga in the Dharma Mithras lineage. This is when her true love for Yoga developed. Divine intuition led Jenn to travel to India where she accomplished her first 200 hour yoga teacher training under the Sivananda Vedanta Center in 2014. After practicing and teaching around the world, Jenn travelled back to India in 2016, for an advanced 300 hour teacher trainingm studying in the Iyengar lineage. Deeply rooted in the philosophy and tradition of yoga, Jenn’s devotion to practice led her to study at many monastic and yogic institutes, worldwide. Currently, Jenn is working towards an 800 hour Diploma of Yoga Therapy and incorporates these fundamentals and practices into her teaching. Her classes are grounded in the path of Bhakti and Karma yoga where spaciousness is created to move into the heart and the body, to strengthen, heal and transform. Jenn teaches Pilates, Hatha and Vinyasa flows, Yin and Restorative Yoga, as well as many forms of meditation. She also facilitates kirtan and soundscape immersion workshops. Hiking, travel, plants and cats are among Jenn’s other joys in life!
