Himalayan Salt Therapy is Helpful for Allergies!

It is that time of year again. Pollen counts are high and we our eyes are itchy, we are sniffling and sneezing.

Himalayan Salt has a lot of health benefits but here’s on you may haven’t thought about. It can actually help reduce seasonal allergies! The salt practice has been used for hundreds of years in order to improve overall well-being.

How does it work?

The salt actually captures the allergies in the air and reduces moisture in the air allowing for a fresher breath of air in each inhale. The pink crystals in the salt lamps or a Himalayan salt room emit negative ions into the air which helps clear the air in what is known as “passive salt therapy.”

The active salt therapy (aka Halotherapy) is a treatment that uses salt “vapor” to help with respiratory ailments like allergies and asthma. It can also be very helpful to relieve congestion and reduce inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Salt therapy is safe treatment option for everyone and there are no adverse side effects.
