LIFE STYLE MEDICINE
Drew Pearlman, Functional Medicine Practitioner, trained at the world-renowned School of Applied Functional Medicine and also received certification from the Gut and Psychology Syndrome Practitioner program (GAPS) and the Heart Math Practitioner program.
In his work with clients, Drew takes a holistic approach by diving into the various layers of health, including nutrition, movement, breathing, sleep, stress, connection with nature as well as mindset, beliefs and life purpose. He utilizes a detailed health history, symptoms questionnaire, recent lab work and personal health goals and works with his clients to design a plan that is unique for each person.
Drew’s philosophy is to address both the foundational components of wellness such as diet and lifestyle, plus the more specific biochemical drivers of dis-ease such as nutritional deficiencies, imbalances in the gut, and toxicity.
Drew sees functional medicine as both a science and an art. His job as a practitioner is to educate, empower and hopefully inspire his clients. In the words of Albert Schweitzer: “We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to go to work.”
Drew’s areas of expertise include gut health, autoimmune issues, anxiety/ depression, cancer support, weight loss and more. He looks forward to sharing his passion with the Release community by educating and empowering clients with diet, lifestyle and functional medicine principles and tools to achieve greater wellness.
In addition to functional medicine health coaching, Drew has made a series of documentary films about natural healing and hosts the healthy living podcast The Drew Pearlman Show.
