Linda Townsend Named Woman-Owned Business Award Recipient by the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber
We’re incredibly proud to share that Release Well-Being Center’s Founder and President, Linda Townsend, has been honored with the Woman-Owned Business Award by the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber, a recognition celebrating accomplished business leaders who have redefined their industries through vision, resilience, and purpose.
Dubbed a “Wellness Warrior” by the Chamber, Linda was recognized for her groundbreaking work in reshaping self-care in the MetroWest region and for the successful launch of Release’s newest location in Boston’s Back Bay.
Linda’s journey into wellness began in the year 2000, when, balancing a high-stress career and expecting her second child, a transformative trip to Canyon Ranch became the catalyst for a decades-long pursuit of holistic healing. Drawing on her extensive corporate background and deep commitment to wellness, Linda brought her vision to life in 2017 with the opening of Release Well-Being Center on Route 9 in Westborough. The center was an immediate success and quickly became a new standard for holistic wellness in the region.
After navigating the challenges of the pandemic with grace and grit, Linda expanded Release into a second marketplace, opening the Boston location in 2024. That same year, the center was recognized as “Best Spa of Boston” by Boston Magazine, a powerful testament to Linda’s leadership and the team she has built.
This award is a celebration not just of Linda’s achievements, but of every woman-owned business redefining what’s possible. We are so grateful to the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber for this recognition, and so proud of Linda for continuing to lead with heart, vision, and unwavering dedication to the community Release serves.
