Functional Movement Screen and Corrective Exercise Program
MOVE BETTER! Use the Functional Movement Screen to move better, train at a higher level, return to activity faster post-rehab and to live an active life. Using the foundations of human movement and exercise science, FMS evaluates and grades 7 simple fundamental movements that are key to normal human function. By screening these patterns, FMS identifies functional limitations and asymmetries which can limit the ability to perform in fitness and yoga classes and which can eventually lead to injury.
The seven movement patterns the FMS assesses are:
- Deep squat
- Hurdle step
- Inline lunge
- Shoulder mobility
- Active straight-leg raise
- Trunk stability push-up
- Rotary stability
FMS provides a reliable baseline for actionable and effective steps to improve mobility, stability and imbalances which will result in better performance. The results will allow for a corrective customized program specific to each person in order to improve the personal results. Donna will identify these functional limitations and asymmetries and then develop a customized “corrective exercise” program for each individual. The corrective workout program will help to improve each individual’s personal performance and can be used in conjunction with regular workout routines. Donna will email the exercise program with descriptions and images of each exercise to be completed at the individuals own time and pace.
FMS program offerings:
Functional Movement Screen with 2 corrective workouts: $99
Functional Movement Screen with 2 different workouts per week for a month plus a follow up with Donna: $169 per month.
