Ayurveda is an ancient medical science originating in India, which is based on the idea of balance in bodily systems and uses diet, herbal treatment, and yogic breathing. The Ayurvedic Diet is primarily plant-based, relies heavily on spices and its medicinal qualities and follows the seasons. In this hands-on class, you will learn more about this way of cooking from Sharan Tulsiani. Sharan will guide you through a delicious and nutritious meal using authentic and fresh ingredients.
In this class you will learn ayurvedic cooking practices and how to use essential herbs and aromatics. After cooking, the group will enjoy the meal together and finish the experience with a warm cup of Yogic Chai Tea prepared by Sharan. You will leave this workshop with knowledge, recipes, and a full belly!
Sharan is originally from India and is a yoga instructor at Release. She is a cooking enthusiast who loves bringing people together through food. She believes that an expression of love through food is not demonstrated through the quantity on your plate, but the care with which it is prepared.
