Men should also be practicing self-care.

The wellness movement and its message of holistic health is as important to men as to women. Men don’t seem to be attracted to it as much as women, but we are moving toward changing that.

Men also face the challenge of balancing career and family which can be stressful. We’ve learned that simple breathing practices to manage stress can be of great value to men who might be reluctant to take a yoga or meditation class. Learning to make conscious decisions about food choices is also a step in the right direction.

We understand that it is a busy world out there and at times, finding time to take care of yourself is difficult.  Here are some simple ways to bring a little self-care back into your life.

Spend time in nature

Nature is good for the soul. With beautiful weather finally here, we highly recommend spending some time outside. Nature offers one of the most reliable boosts to your mental and physical well-being. It will help you restore your mental energy.

Practice yoga

Yoga is for Men too! Originally, it was a practice that only men did. You will stretch out your limbs and spend some time with yourself in a mindful way. Yoga is for everyone and the benefits are endless.

Look after your skin

Your skin is important, it’s the biggest organ you have! Once you start taking care of what you put IN your body, you’ll start to pay more attention to what you put ON your body. There are a variety of companies that specialize in natural skin care and hygiene products for men. These will help you keep chemicals away. You can also book a facial to deep clean and moisturize your skin.

Exercise more

Exercise doesn’t mean hitting the gym, although it can. You can try cycling, walking, running, tai chi, yoga, dance, weight lifting, or simply popping in an aerobics video and following along. Being fit and keep a healthy heart are important components to your self care routine.

Eat well

Food! By putting eating good, healthy food you are setting yourself up for a win. More greens and less junk is a good rule to live by. A healthy dose of fruit and vegetables will help you stop feeling sluggish and give you a boost of energy. Try incorporating cold pressed juice a few days a week for a dramatic boost.
